Minki Jeon received his PhD in Art Education from Florida State University. His recent research has centered on how educators collaboratively design interdisciplinary arts curricula, exploring the co-constructed knowledge that emerges from these collective efforts. His curriculum development focuses on integrating contemporary art into interdisciplinary arts curriculum development as a research practice. He investigates how educators envision learners’ past, present, and future in K-12 and higher education classrooms in frames of teacher education, arts-based inquiry, social justice in art education, and participatory action research. He has presented and published at the state, national, and international levels. He was an instructor and research assistant in the Department of Art Education at Florida State University, where he taught undergraduate and graduate students pursuing teacher certification. In addition to teaching and research, he has contributed to teacher certification programs by supervising pre-service art teachers and leading K-12 Art Workshops and Summer Art Camps. He was honored with the 2025 National Art Education Association DE&I Scholarship and the 2023 Florida State University Academic Leadership Award. Upon completing his MEd, he received the Outstanding Thesis Award for his master’s research. He holds a BEd in Elementary Education and an MEd in Elementary Art Education from the Gyeongin National University of Education in South Korea.
